Ayurveda is the ancient Indian science of the art of living: in health and happiness, in harmony. Ayurvedic massage is one way to help maintain or restore a state of balance, or health.
There are many types of Ayurvedic massage. Verde offers PRANA ABHYANGA. Prana is the subtle vital energy that circulates through the body, keeping it alive. Lack of health or well-being is a disturbance in the flow of prana. The right touch is able to restore its circulation and bring us back to well-being on many levels, including physical, mental and energetic.
Lack of health from different levels can affect the wellbeing or health of others. This form of harmonisation can therefore provide relief from physical suffering, dermatological, orthopaedic, gastrointestinal or psychological symptoms, or it can simply help you to relax very deeply and find answers to difficult questions. You may find that after many sleepless nights, you finally fall asleep. Or after many attempts to get out of the vicious circle of stress, you will take a step in a different direction and feel relief. It can be a great support during therapy, diagnostics, especially those with inconclusive results.
We don't see this as the only path to recovery, but we do our best to make it as supportive as possible in your recovery path.
The massage is performed with sesame or almond oil and covers the whole body, including points on the face and head.
Its progression is individual, as the needs are different, but the sequence is always according to the art of Ayurvedic massage. Sometimes we start at the front of the body, sometimes at the back.
During the massage you are asked_ from time to time to take 3 deep breaths, this allows for improved flows and better harmonisation. By the way- the body rejoices because you are providing it with what it cannot live without- solid breath.
